And by "embrace the village" you mean be active in del.icio.us, flickr, blogs, etc and build up community instead of shying away from it, right? Share everything - don't hide - because someone will find out anyway? What scares me is image control - how do you make sure that no future employer sees the "real" you that you don't want them to see? (Answer: be real to yourself such that you don't mind that an employer sees photos of you from some saturday night 10 years ago) Maybe...anyway, nice writing, that R-Mordor got my laughing...
